The Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), a regional economic community dedicated to promoting economic integration, has established the COMESA Federation of Women in Business (COMFWB) to ensure women's active participation in regional enterprise. To further its mandate of providing an enabling environment for women-led businesses, COMFWB is seeking a qualified Resource Mobilization Officer for a four-year contract based at its Secretariat in Lilongwe, Malawi. Applicants must be citizens of a COMESA member state, under 55 years of age, and possess a bachelor's degree along with eight years of relevant experience in corporate fundraising and donor relations. The deadline for member states to submit applications for this P2 grade position is March 6, 2026.

CALL for APPLICATION for THE POSITION OF TRADE FACILITATION EXPERT (TA)

With support from AGRA, COMFWB is seeking to engage a Trade Facilitation Expert who will be based at COMFWB Secretariat in Malawi to spearhead the implementation of this interventions, focusing on the identification, monitoring, and resolution of NTBs, as well as advancing the harmonization of sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) measures and technical standards across corridor countries. This role demands proactive engagement with national and regional institutions (Ministries of Trade, Customs, Standards Bodies, COMESA, and the SADC Secretariat), as well as close collaboration with the private sector and civil society and Cross border trader association to address real-world constraints to trade.
