COMFWB ESWATINI: Empowering youth through digital skills and economic opportunities

On 12 August 2026, the COMESA Federation of Women in Business (COMFWB) Eswatini Chapter participated in the International Youth Day 2026 commemoration, organized by the Municipal Council of Manzini in collaboration with the MTN Eswatini Foundation.
The event focused on the critical need to equip young people with the digital and employability skills required to thrive in a rapidly evolving global economy. Highlighting the initiative's impact, over 100 youth from the City of Manzini registered for the MTN Skills Academy—a vital step toward fostering a digitally proficient and future-ready workforce.
During the commemoration, the COMFWB Eswatini Chapter presented its strategic vision, mandate, and flagship programs. The Chapter reaffirmed its commitment to advancing youth, women, and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through targeted capacity development, entrepreneurship training, business facilitation, and enhanced market access.
COMFWB’s intervention underscored the importance of establishing sustainable pathways that bridge skill acquisition with tangible economic opportunities, enabling young people to translate technical competencies into viable enterprises and sustainable livelihoods.
Investing in youth development remains central to driving inclusive economic growth across Eswatini. COMFWB continues to strengthen strategic partnerships across the public and private sectors to cultivate an environment where young entrepreneurs and workers can prosper.
