The COMFWB Eswatini Chapter experienced a landmark week of back-to-back, high-impact events in late September 2025, setting a dynamic new course for inclusive business growth and chapter governance. This strategic period was dedicated to unlocking opportunities for women, youth, and disability-led enterprises, immediately followed by an intensive session focused on strengthening the Chapter's core leadership.

Day 1: Unlocking Opportunities Through Partnership (Breakfast Meeting - September 24)

The week kicked off with a successful Breakfast Meeting that rallied key stakeholders under the theme: “Unlocking Opportunities: Strengthening Partnerships for Women, Youth & Disability-Led Enterprises.” Held in the spirit of active collaboration, this impactful engagement brought together a diverse group of women entrepreneurs, youth leaders, persons with disabilities, financial institutions, and development partners for a dedicated dialogue on sustainable, inclusive business growth.

Meeting Highlights:

•Insightful Presentations from leading financial institutions and development organizations showcased available funding models, technical assistance, and support programs accessible to entrepreneurs.

•Interactive Discussions were held to critically address and strategize on breaking the systemic barriers that often hinder the participation and growth of marginalized groups in the business ecosystem.

•Strategic Networking provided immediate connections, linking entrepreneurs directly with potential funders, sponsors, and collaborators essential for scaling their ventures.

•Elevated Visibility for women, youth, and disability-led enterprises, ensuring their voices and business needs are prioritized by key economic stakeholders.

Key Outcomes Achieved:

Crucially, it led to the identification of collaborative pathways to empower these key business segments and secured a firm commitment to concrete follow-up actions and partnerships that will drive immediate impact.

Days 2 & 3: Sharpening the Saw - Governance & Leadership (Workshop - September 25–26)

Immediately following the successful engagement with partners, the COMFWB Eswatini Chapter Executive Board transitioned into an intensive 2-Day Governance & Leadership Workshop at Happy Valley, Ezulwini. This session was designed to ensure the Chapter's internal structure is as robust as its external commitment.

The Executive Board Members dedicated these two days to collaboratively strenghten governance skills, strengthen leadership efficacy, and renew their commitment to building a stronger, more effective chapter for the future.

The workshop was a crucible of learning, collaboration, and renewed energy. It was specifically designed to ensure the Chapter is strategically equipped to drive sustainable change and effectively serve the interests of women, youth, and persons with disabilities in the business sector.

The COMFWB Board Chairperson, Ms Maureen Sumbwe masterfully facilitated the intensive training sessions, and the COMFWB CEO, Mr Miti Chikakula shared invaluable insights on high-impact strategies to elevate and solidify the Chapter's standing and operational success.
