COMFWB Excellence Awards - 7 August 2026 Evening

On the evening of 7 August 2026, COMFWB brought two very busy days of dialogue to a beautiful close with its Annual Excellence Awards held at Hyatt Regency The Meikles Harare*. The event was a celebration of resilience, innovation, and leadership across Zimbabwe’s business and development landscape. It served not only to honor achievement, but to remind us that excellence is a habit that must be recognized and nurtured.

The night was graced by distinguished keynote speakers: Dr. Lillian Takaendesa, Chief Director in the Ministry of Women’s Affairs; Ms. Kiera Emmons, Deputy Counselor for Public Diplomacy at the US Embassy; Dr. Edna Mukurazhizha, Chapter Chairperson of COMFWB Zimbabwe; and Dr. Jackie Mateta from ZIM-USA Business Connect. Their remarks centered on the power of recognition, the role of women in economic transformation, and the importance of partnerships in scaling impact. The evening was further elevated by a stunning runway showcase by COMFWB Board Member Sibo Makaya of Ceca Courture, which added elegance and creativity to the proceedings.

The highlight of the evening was the awarding of recipients whose stories moved and inspired the room. The excitement, pride, and gratitude from winners reflected what these awards truly mean: validation of hard work and encouragement to keep pushing boundaries. As Lead Organizer, it was an honor to host a night that celebrated not just success, but the spirit behind it. The Excellence Awards closed a hectic two days on a high note — one of inspiration, unity, and hope for what Zimbabwean entrepreneurs can achieve.
