COMFWB Malawi Chapter Showcases Export Potential at the 3rd Malawi-Tanzania Investment and Trade Forum
Seven dynamic members of the COMFWB Malawi Chapter successfully participated in the 3rd Malawi-Tanzania Investment and Trade Forum, held from 7th to 9th September 2026 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Organized by the Malawi Investment and Trade Centre (MITC) in collaboration with TanTrade, the event provided a high-level platform to expand cross-border commerce, strengthen bilateral ties, and foster strategic business linkages.
The forum was officially opened by Hon. Simon Itaye, Minister of Industrialization, Business, Trade, and Tourism, who highlighted the critical need to boost bilateral trade, modernize border infrastructure, and build inclusive economic partnerships tailored for SMEs, women, and youth. Highlighting the strength of Malawian enterprise, COMFWB delegates presented a diverse line-up of premium, export-ready products, including groundnuts, raw honey, value-added hibiscus goods, specialty teas, soybeans, and high-quality cassava flour. Through targeted B2B sessions and networking opportunities, participants successfully forged key connections with Tanzanian buyers, investors, and commercial partners.

Sept membres dynamiques du chapitre COMFWB Malawi ont participé avec succès au 3e Forum d'investissement et de commerce Malawi-Tanzanie, qui s'est tenu du 7 au 9 septembre 2026 à Dar es Salaam, en Tanzanie. Organisé par le Malawi Investment and Trade Centre (MITC) en partenariat avec TanTrade, cet événement a offert une plateforme stratégique pour développer le commerce transfrontalier, renforcer les liens bilatéraux et nouer des partenariats d'affaires durables.
L'ouverture officielle a été présidée par l'honorable Simon Itaye, ministre de l'Industrialisation, du Commerce et du Tourisme. Ce dernier a souligné l'urgence d'accroître les échanges commerciaux, d'améliorer les infrastructures frontalières et de créer un environnement économique propice aux PME, aux femmes et aux jeunes. Les déléguées de la COMFWB y ont exposé une gamme variée de produits prêts pour l'exportation, notamment des arachides, du miel naturel, des produits à base d'hibiscus, des thés d'exception, du soja et de la farine de manioc. Ces trois journées de rencontres B2B directes ont permis d'établir des contacts précieux avec des acheteurs et investisseurs tanzaniens.
