COMFWB ZIM : a successful meeting with the Ministry of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Development

The COMESA Federation of Women in Zimbabwe - COMFWB ZIM- is proud to announce the successful conclusion of its introductory meeting with the Ministry of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Development, alongside key Border Agencies, held on the first week of February 2026.

This high-level engagement marked a decisive step forward as all stakeholders formally welcomed the COMFWB-AGRA Trade Facilitation and NTB Reduction Programme. By aligning with the Cross Border Association, this initiative is set to transform operations at the Chirundu and Victoria Falls (Livingstone) borders, creating a more seamless, transparent, and efficient environment for regional commerce.

This game-changing programme is strategically designed to dismantle non-tariff barriers and empower those at the heart of our economy : women traders, youth, and SMEs. By enhancing border efficiency and facilitating easier access to Regional markets, we are not just streamlining logistics; we are fostering sustainable economic growth and financial independence for Zimbabwe’s entrepreneurs.

COMFWB Zimbabwe remains committed to ensuring that cross-border traders have the tools and institutional support necessary to thrive in an increasingly integrated regional marketplace
