Forging Ahead For Women’s Equality
Imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women's equality.
The COMESA Federation of Women in Business (COMFWB) joins the rest of the world in commemorating the International Women’s Day which falls on 8th March every year. This year’s theme - #BREAKTHEBIAS reminds us of the important role we need to play in achieving women equality. It is our mission to develop women entrepreneurship in COMESA through programmes that promote, encourage and serve the needs of women in business, working in collaboration with relevant partners. It is through these programmes that women have access to information; trade markets and finance, opportunities that were once hard to find, on the premise of being a woman. It is our desire to show that women choose entrepreneurship because they have the capacity, and not as a last resort. We are breaking the bias, one day at at time.
