COMFWB Zambia : Active contributor to the Kasumbalesa Gender Assessment Study

-7th August 2025 | Taj Pamodzi Hotel, Lusaka. The COMFWB Zambia or Zambia Federation of Associations of Women in Business -Zfawib, in partnership with Graça Machel Trust’s Women Creating Wealth -GMT WCW, successfully hosted a high-level stakeholder meeting to present the findings of the Kasumbalesa Gender Assessment Study. The assessment highlighted key gender disparities impacting women traders at the Kasumbalesa Border and provided evidence to *inform gender-responsive trade policies and targeted interventions
The event brought together a dynamic mix of stakeholders : 12 Members of Parliament, Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry, Zambia Revenue Authority, Public-Private Dialogue Forum, Cross Border Traders Association, and CAMFED, among others. United in action, we are working to empower women entrepreneurs and promote inclusive economic participation
