Mastering Image and E-Commerce: The dual Masterclasses shaping African Female Leadership

As the 7th edition of the COMESA Federation of Women in Business (#COMFWB) Trade Fair & Business Conference (CTF7) unfolded, two transformative Masterclasses highlighted a single powerful truth: modern African female leadership requires a harmonious blend of intentional presence and digital mastery. Together, these sessions equipped women entrepreneurs and executives with the exact tools needed to command the boardroom and capture the continental market.
The strategic journey began with personal presence in the first Masterclass "The Strategic and Visual Image of the Woman Leader," delivered by Ms. Hanene Kooli. Through dynamic discussions, role-playing, and practical exercises, participants explored how to turn authentic personal image into an influential leadership lever. The session empowered African women executives to align their non-verbal communication with their core identity and ambition, ensuring that their visual narrative matches their strategic vision.
Building upon this foundation of leadership authority, the focus shifted seamlessly from individual presence to commercial expansion in "From Local Craftsmanship to Continental Commerce: Building a Profitable Digital Export Brand in 90 Days." Co-organized with the #AfCFTA Support Project—commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by GIZ alongside the Tunisian Ministry of Trade and Export Development—this intensive second Masterclass addressed an elite group of 50 trailblazing entrepreneurs.
Led by industry powerhouses Ms. Marwa Moula and Mr. Mehdi Ben Abdallah, co-founders of ILEY’COM, this hands-on workshop/ Masterclass immersed business owners in AI-powered e-commerce, digital branding, international marketplaces, cross-border payments, and export logistics. Rather than relying on passive learning, every participant walked away with a personalized, actionable 90-day digital export roadmap.
By unifying strong, authentic non-verbal communication with cutting-edge digital export capabilities, CTF7 continues to fulfill its core mission: empowering African women entrepreneurs to transcend local borders and fearlessly lead continental trade under the AfCFTA.
