Mobilizing for the Success of the 7th COMFWB Trade Fair and Women in Business Conference- CTF7 in Tunisia

As part of the preparations for this event, scheduled for July 1–3, 2026, at the UTICA headquarters, a delegation from the COMESA Federation of Women in Business - COMFWB held a series of strategic meetings with key national stakeholders
Leading the delegation, Ms. Maureen Sumbwe (President), Ms. Leila Jaber Belkhiria (VP), and CEO Miti Chikakula conducted a series of "marathon" meetings on April 20 with Tunisian key decision-makers. These discussions brought together several major institutions representatives, including :

•Mr Hamadi Kooli, the Vice president of UTICA Tunisie, or Union of Tunisian Industries, Commerce and handicrafts
•Madam Lamia ABROUG, Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Commerce, Mr. Jamel Alaifa, Director General of International cooperation, Madam Noura Gasmi , COMESA focal point in Tunisia
•Madam Afef Chachi Tayari, Chief of Cabinet of the Ministry of Industry and some representatives of the ministry

•Mr Mourad Ben Hassine, President of CEPEX, some representatives of the Ministry of Foreign affairs , representatives of Ministry of Women

-AIMEC or African Inclusive Markets Excellence Centre representatives


Their shared objective: ensuring the success of this landmark economic event.

The delegation, led by Ms. Maureen Sumbwe (Chairperson of COMFWB) and Mr. Miti Chikakula (Executive Director), was accompanied by Ms. Leila Belkhiria Jaber, Vice-Chairperson of COMESA Federation of Women in Business- #COMFWB and President of the Chambre Nationale des Femmes Chefs d'Entreprises- CNFCE
